This was a first date place, and it was great. Service was really good. Checked up on us, making sure we didn't need anything. I got the chicken skewers with rice, and my date got the lamb. The food was really good and I recommend the Turkish tea. So good.
The tagline of this restaurant is Mediterranean, but I would recognize the delicate yet exceptional Turkish influences anywhere. The restaurant was comfortable, we sat by the big window near the front yet never felt as though it was too loud despite the crowds of people around and in the restaurant. The food is exceptional, a firm reminder of the beautiful influence Turkish cuisine has on the Mediterranean food scene. The Mezze is a great way to start, giving a mild yet exciting introduction to the flavors to come. The baba Ganoush made me feel like I was at home, so smooth and delicious. For entrees we wanted to stay relatively light (although the from the grill section all looked and smelled amazing). The Piyaz would have been a perfect pair to any other dish, and did well with the chicken yogurt in particular. We found ourselves mopping up every drop of each dish and will be returning next time we are in the area.
Awesome Mediterranean restaurant in Centreville! The service was excellent and it was such a cute restaurant on the inside. We stared with the shepherds salad, cauliflower, and baba ghanooj, all of which were amazing. Then my wife had the lamb shish and I had the hunker begendi (not sure how it's spelt), but I've never seen this on a menu before and I was FANTASTIC!
The grilled lamb was superbly prepared. Did I say the lamb was amazing? It really was. The bulgur side, bread and hummus were delicious as well. Did I mention the lamb-- it's a must try! Great service and welcoming atmosphere.
We went with several friends for a bit of a reunion since one of the our old gang was in for a funeral. We were able to get a table that we could all be at and not be in the middle of a crowd so we could talk. The staff were very welcoming and understanding. There were quite a variety of items but everyone loved everything they got. The Lezzet cigars were an especial hit. I really have to call out the Manti as I got those and they were wonderful. My spouse raved about the Kafta. It was a great meal and the staff were very accommodating on splitting the check as well.
